Playing around with my camera

Back to playing around with my camera.

In this case, I'm playing around with tiltshift photography.  Tiltshift photography is a technique where the end picture looks like its taken of a miniature landscape.  Pretty cool effect and can result in some nice pictures when done properly.

Gordon ponders the meaning of life

Managed to capture this picture of Gordon.

I have no idea what he is thinking but he looks as if he is pondering something fairly heavy.  His navel perhaps?

The answer is 42

Lunar New Year 2015 - Playing with my camera

First off, a quick note to let you know that I will be changing my blogging schedule starting from next week.  Instead of posting 3 updates across my blogs on Sunday, I will be using the below schedule.  In brief, this will allow me to spread out my posts as well as work load.

And now - back to your regular scheduled program!

This should actually have gone into last weeks post but for some reason, I forgot to include.  Another picture taken while playing around with my camera.  This was actually taken at the hotel lobby.

In case, you are wondering, these are chocolate coins.  What I liked about the picture though is the amount of "shiny" that comes out.  Pretty cool.

So shiny

Lunar New Year 2015 - Playing with my camera

One last post to wrap up my lunar new year posts!

With my "new" camera, I also took the opportunity to play around with it a bit during lunar new year.

Another picture of a flower.  I have no idea what kind of flower it is but liked the colours.

Despite this next picture, it really wasn't that cold during lunar new year. :)
The missus taking a brief rest
Out at night to buy dinner - managed to catch this picture of the harbour.  Quite like the reflection of the light from the water.
The harbour at night
I quite like this last picture primarily for the way the light from the sign shines out and reflects off the ceiling.
